As our Senior Training Advisor , you'll lead the evolution of training, competency and workforce development across Cowal Gold Operations. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact by shaping training frameworks, driving compliance, developing leaders and supporting a culture of continuous improvement across one of Australia's leading gold mining operations.

Working a family-friendly 5:2/4:3 roster, with flexible roster arrangements considered for the right candidate, you'll play a key role in shaping the future capability of our workforce while enjoying a strong work-life balance.

Reporting to the Superintendent - Safety & Health, you'll

• Lead and continuously improve the Cowal Mine Training Scheme and learning systems to support operational excellence.
• Drive workforce capability through training needs analysis, competency development and strategic training initiatives.
• Ensure training compliance aligns with legislative requirements, site expectations and safety management systems.
• Mentor and develop a team of Training Advisors and Trainer Assessors to enhance capability and performance.
• Influence leaders across the business to strengthen workforce competency, engagement and continuous improvement outcomes.

• Does this sound like you?
• Tertiary qualification in a training related discipline.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in training, learning and development or workforce capability roles.
• Experience within mining, resources or heavy industry environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor, coach and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of training compliance, competency based frameworks and relevant legislation.
• The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes across all levels of an organisation.

Highly regarded: Experience with INX, Moodle or similar learning management systems.

• Experience conducting training needs analyses, skill gap assessments and training audits.
• Exposure to strategic workforce planning and capability development initiatives.
