Our Opportunity

Work Location: Iron Bridge; Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex Perth

Reporting to the Shutdown Superintendent, you will play a critical role in developing and controlling execution-ready schedules for shutdown maintenance activities across a complex fixed plant operation. You will be part of a team delivering large-scale shutdowns including 288-hour Modular shutdowns and 240-hour Major shutdowns involving 1,200 personnel and multi-discipline maintenance scopes. You will have ownership of an entire portfolio where schedule performance directly impacts plant production.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scheduler who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure shutdown environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded shutdown schedules using MS Project
• Interpret shutdown scopes and generate labour profiles to optimise resource utilisation
• Establish and manage schedule logic, sequencing, and critical path activities
• Facilitate and drive the scope management process, ensuring alignment with shutdown readiness milestones
• Coordinate maintenance schedules in line with labour, equipment, and contractor availability
• Perform resource levelling to eliminate clashes and maximise workforce efficiency
• Integrate and align major outages, supporting shutdown cost tracking and reporting
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure scopes are accurate, executable, and aligned to safe delivery
• Monitor schedule performance during execution and support post-shutdown reporting and close-out activities
• Assist in the development of detailed shutdown work packs
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning, scheduling, and execution processes

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in fixed plant maintenance scheduling within mining or heavy industry
• Strong capability in MS Project and SAP (essential)
• Proven experience building and managing complex shutdown schedules
• Understanding of maintenance execution strategies and work management processes
• Experience in shutdown cost tracking and budgeting
• Mechanical or Electrical trade background (highly regarded)
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and coordinate across multiple teams
• Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced shutdown environment with competing priorities
