Superintendent II, Monitoring and Evaluation and Business Efficiency

The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

The primary purpose of this role is to design and oversee tracking frameworks that measure local community businesses performance, minimize operational waste, and drive structured continuous improvement. The role also involves working closely with project teams, stakeholders, and partners to ensure accountability and learning.

• BA degree in Finance / Social Sciences / International Development, Social International development, Statistics, or a related field is required,
• A relevant degree in Monitoring and Evaluation is preferred
• Must have at least 8 years in Monitoring and Evaluation
• Must have at least 3 years working in a mining environment
• English fluency required; French strongly advantageous for the DRC operating context

• Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
• Develop and refine monitoring and evaluation frameworks, plans, and KPIs for local community projects or programs.
• Design data collection tools, surveys, and methodologies to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
• Drive the implementation of data collection activities, monitoring, evaluation, surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and observations.

Clean, process, and analyze complex qualitative and quantitative data sets using statistical and qualitative analysis techniques including enterprise business intelligence (BI) systems to assess program performance and outcomes.

• Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Monitor project activities, outputs, and outcomes against established targets and benchmarks.
• Conduct field visits and assessments to verify data quality, monitor progress, and identify challenges.
• Facilitate learning and knowledge sharing sessions to capture best practices and lessons learned from program implementation.
