ApplyThe Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To define and direct Kamoa Copper's integrated Business Services agenda, providing organization-wide support services that enable safe, efficient, resilient and sustainable operations. The role is accountable for the strategic direction, governance, integration and performance of Strategic Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness and Transformation, Training and Development, Employee Services, HRIS, Camp and Facilities, and Communications. The Executive acts as a strategic business partner to the Executive Director and the rest of the Senior EXCO, ensuring that workforce, service delivery, systems, facilities, communications and organizational capability are aligned to Kamoa's operational and growth priorities.
Must have a bachelor’s degree and or a Master’s degree in business administration, or related field preferred.
15+ years of progressive leadership experience across business services, corporate services, HR / people operations or other multidisciplinary support functions, including substantial senior leadership accountability.
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple support-service disciplines in a complex, asset-intensive or safety-critical environment; mining experience strongly preferred.
- Proven strategic HR leadership covering workforce planning, organization design, talent / succession, localization, reward and labour-risk governance.
- Track record of improving service delivery through operating-model redesign, governance, systems, process improvement, digitisation and measurable SLAs.
- Experience managing significant budgets, service providers, contractors and cross-functional transformation programmes.
Experience in multicultural and employee-relations-intensive environments and in senior engagement with executives, government, unions / employee representatives and external partners
English fluency required; French strongly advantageous for the DRC operating context
