Reporting to the Manager, Training & Development, the Lead Apprenticeship, Training professional leads EVR's Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (HDET) Apprenticeship Program, combining hands-on apprentice instruction with program leadership ensuring the development of Levels 1 through 4 apprentices.

You will provide clear, constructive feedback while fostering safety, accountability, professionalism, and continuous learning.

In this role you will: Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies

• Lead EVR’s apprenticeship program strategy, planning, and delivery for Levels 1 through 4 HDET apprentices
• Develop and maintain apprenticeship training plans aligned with SkilledTradesBC and Red Seal requirements
• Partner with the College of the Rockies, SkilledTradesBC, maintenance leaders, and site stakeholders to support apprentice progression and success

Develop and deliver HDET technical training, curriculum, assessments, and learning materials through classroom, shop, and field-based learning, incorporating OEM, vendor, and emerging technology content where appropriate

Evaluate technical competencies, provide feedback, and support individualized development plans and Red Seal readiness

Monitor program effectiveness and continuous improvement while maintaining apprentice records, competency assessments, progression tracking, training schedules, resources, and reporting in accordance with EVR’s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Operational Excellence standards

Requirements: Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (HDET) certification

• Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience, preferably in mining or large mobile equipment environments
• Experience training, coaching, mentoring, or developing apprentices and tradespeople
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent
• \n Salary: $123,000 - $144,000 CAD/year
• The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
